Experience Lanzarote with Fahy Travel

Lanzarote is the northern and easternmost of the Canary Islands and was born of volcanic eruption, emerging around 15 million years ago. It is located just 80 miles off of the coast of Africa and is known as the ‘Island of Eternal Spring’ due to its subtropical-desert climate allowing for highs of 29°C in summer months and lows of 17°C in the winter. These borderline tropical temperatures make it easy to enjoy the turquoise sea waters and golden beaches this island is famed for, with pleasant and temperate evenings to explore the nightlife on offer; be it busy venues in the capital Arrecife or friendly local spots to relax in.

Whether you are a solo traveller adventuring, a couple looking to make their escape or a family seeking entertainment for some and relaxation for others, Lanzarote can provide what you need. You can explore the Timanfaya National Park and its awe-inspiring scenery, learn the history of the Janubio Salt Flats, absorb the astonishing and inimitable talent of César Manrique, and see remarkable fauna of Lanzarote such as the tiny, blind, white crab residing in the waters of the lava tube at the Jameos del Agua.

If you’re looking to switch off and focus on absorbing sunshine, the resorts of Lanzarote are well-versed in guest care, allowing you to focus on self-care. Stay by the pool, venture to the beaches, enjoy the long stretch in the evening with a walk along the promenades and tuck into so many cuisines you are sure to find something you love. This little island is also famed for its sweet wine, so be sure to visit a winery to experience it all.

For families, Lanzarote has you covered. It is safe, secure and many of the beaches are suitable for kids as they are protected from bigger waves and currents. You can stay at your resort, or have an adventurous day out, perhaps to Rancho Texas, an incredible animal park with impressive attractions. There are various waterparks you can visit, but if that’s not daring enough for the little ones, why not hop on a submarine safari!
